On strike went out canyons on thursday,got out there about 12pm set out a bag and started a drift.After setting second bag we saw a fin cum up trail and fed the mako a bait.Straight away he swallowed it and half hour or so later we had two gaffs in him and into the boat.he went 113.5kg.fun.

what a day welldone trevor and daryl sounds like it was a action packed day.

two great fish as well 2 over 170 on your first go is great stuff and very exicting fishing ,id reckon you will be getting into  this form of fishing for a while now ,i reckon you got 4 to 5 months before the beakies are back.

and this is the prime mako time for the next couple months.

hi there on the 30/08/010 myself (trevor lillico) and daryl brisbane decided to try and chrissen the ultimate with a shark.
After many talks with mark i decided to have a proper go at SHARK FISHING and what a arvo it was.
We left shellharbour at 12.00 and were on the canyons by 1.00(great weather).
As we checked to see what the drift was darryl started mucking around with big bags of smelly mince.
10 minutes arfter dropping the bag over  the first critter came up and i said to daryl how big and did i want it .
My reply was its not a marlin or tuna it your (while i was quietly sh&%$#@ my self.
It took the bait as soon as briso threw it over (ON SOLID 15kg).
Fun and games just begin as a nother fish of the same size swims in after daryl hooked his fish about 5to 7 minutes ago.
I chuck it abait yer ha double hook up on makos cant beleive what im seeing 10 jumps later and im on .
Long story short after about 45 to 1 hr on my fish we had gaffs in it beside the boat ask later about the mayhem while briso is still fighing his fish.
Not long after a short chase we had yhe gaffs in brisos not a bad way to start shark fishing Brisos fish went 175 kg on 15 and mine went 170 on 37 .
Thanks mark and briso for talking me in to go shark fishing (bring the marlin back).
